Low Carb Food Find: Ghirardelli Intense Dark Midnight Reverie (Chocolate You Can Eat On A Low Carb Diet)

Once in a while I truly get a chocolate craving.  When I do, this Ghiradelli Intense Dark Midnight Reverie is my go to chocolate. 

I was so excited when I first found it.  I didn’t even know it was possible to eat chocolate when you watch your carbs.  It…..was….exciting….  

This chocolate is 86% cacao, which means 86% of the chocolate is made up of cacao (or cocoa) bean.  The higher the percentage of cacao, usually the lower carb / lower sugar it is.   Also, the higher percentage of cacao, the more intense the chocolate flavor is.  Which means, unlike regular candy bars, 1 or 2 pieces of this chocolate is usually more then enough to satisfy a chocolate craving.  It has a very nice rich taste. 

It is all natural and has only 3 ingredients:  bittersweet chocolate, vanilla and natural flavor. 

1 large piece of this chocolate has approximately 2.5 g. of net carbs and 63 calories.  I got this bar of Midnight Reverie from Target.  My Target also carries bags of individually wrapped single piece portions of it.
