Here is a recipe for a delicious green smoothie that is lower in carbs and sugar then a traditional green smoothie.
The entire smoothie contains approximately 5.5 g. net carbs and 29 calories.
1/4 cup of peeled and diced granny smith apple [3.5 g. net carbs]
2 ounces of a cucumber (peeled and de-seeded) [2 g. net carbs]
A small handful of baby spinach (this is about 6 spinach leafs and has only a trival amount of carbs)
6 ice cubes
1/2 cup water
Combine all of the ingredients and blend very well.
I drink this “as it”, but if need be you can sweeten it with a small amount of crystal light or any sweetener of your choice.
I make this smoothie in my Magic Bullet Blender. I have had the same one for 6 years and love it. It is great for smoothies. I like it because it is so easy to clean.
I weigh my ingredients using this Biggest Loser scale. I like this scale because you can put a plate on it, zero out the weight and then get the weight of just the food on the plate.
