Crock Pot Hot Dogs (with no added water)

Whether fixing a simple family dinner or cooking for a crowd, feel free to throw your hot dogs in your crock pot!  You can fit up to 60 hot dogs in a 6-quart slow cooker.  And please, don’t add any “hot dog water”….that is not necessary.  Without water, the hot dogs will cook in their own juices and crisp up just like convenience store dogs.

Directions:
For a small amount:  just lay the hot dogs on the bottom of the crock pot
For a crowd:  stand hot dogs on their ends to fit the max amount.  You can fit up to 60 hot dogs in a 6-quart slow cooker.

There is no need to add water.  The hot dogs will release moisture all on their own and if the hot dogs are in hot water for too long they will split split.

Cook approx. 3 hours on low or on high for about 2 hours.  After the dogs are fully heated, you can just keep them on the warm setting until needed so they are hot and ready for you at anytime.

I like to eat my hot dogs on the low carb side with no bun and slathered with Skyline no-bean chili and mustard!
